RMIFC Hosts Training Workshop for Liaison Officers
RMIFC has strengthened cooperation with a technical partner as part of ongoing efforts to improve maritime information exchange and analytical capability across the region.
The cooperation will focus on areas that complement RMIFC’s existing information-fusion mandate, including technical knowledge exchange, analyst development and access to relevant maritime information services.
Regional maritime awareness depends on the ability to bring together information from multiple sources and transform it into useful products for authorised stakeholders.
Technical partnerships can support this process by providing additional expertise, technology, training and information sources that strengthen the Centre’s analytical capacity.
RMIFC emphasised that external partnerships are most effective when they respond to clearly identified regional requirements and complement the responsibilities of participating States.
The cooperation will therefore be implemented within established institutional and information-sharing frameworks.
The partnership also provides opportunities for professional exchanges between technical specialists, analysts and liaison officers.
